The Interac Debit service works similarly to Visa in that it can be used to make purchases both online and in-store. While this card isn't accepted in as many stores as Visa, it's an acceptable form of payment in a number of Canadian stores compatible with Interac's services.

The Canadian debit card system is called Interac, which is an association run by a group of banks. It's a different type of payment card than a Visa or a Mastercard.
